The US Department of Agriculture proudly announced that through the Food Stamp program they have fed more than 46 million people by giving out free food and food stamps.

At the same time the US Department of Interior which runs the National Parks Services asks that people please stop feeding the animals. The stated reason for this is "The animals will grow dependent on Handouts and not be able to take care of themselves."
