I was looking around East County Magazine and discovered she's won more than just the DOTY award. Has this been mentioned before and I missed it? I thought I was up on all my nadinology.

I think you are just a bit confused. The DOTY is the award she won that allows her to be award winning. It has nothing to do with being a photo journalist.
