..Sarah Palin and Fox News Channel part ways
Reuters – 17 hrs ago.. .

(Reuters) - Republican former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has parted ways with Fox News Channel after working for three years as a paid commentator, the cable TV network said on Friday.

Palin, who went from being a little-known governor to a political sensation after Senator John McCain picked her as his running mate in the 2008 presidential election, was one of the channel's biggest names despite appearing only occasionally.

"We have thoroughly enjoyed our association with Governor Palin," Bill Shine, Fox News Channel executive vice president of programming, said in a statement. "We wish her the best in her future endeavors."

This will free her up to speak her mind and talk policy and not be limited to the Fox News Channel.

I know a couple times in the last year when she'd make a surprise call to Mark Levin's show that there was a mention of Fox "allowing" her to do it.

Now she can go on a show and not worry about pissing off the corporate suits.

And also...if she's looking at making another run at D.C. she has to start now and being tied to Fox through another election cycle would hinder her efforts to get her grassroots organizations set up.

She's one of the few Republicans who speak their minds and aren't all mealy mouthed. I admire her bravery and detest those like Boehner who are so busy saving their own rears and the heck with the country.

From what I read, Fox News wanted her back, but she turned them down.

Yup.  Which IMHO means she's getting ready to run for office.

She connects with people the same way that Reagan did.

Which scares the hell out of Libs and Establishment types in the GOP.

Well we've seen what Boehner and the RNC will do to none establishment Republicans.  Just ask Michele Bachmann and Richard Mourdock.

And any other TEA Party backed Conservative in the House right now.

What if she were to join Jim DeMint for president and vice president on a TEAPARTY ticket....would you vote TEAPARTY?

The Teaparty name and Sarah Palin have been so demonized, I seriously doubt that they could win a national election.

Well then I guess we should never back another Conservative for office ever again if we apply that criteria to our candidates.

They been demonized because we the people have allowed it to happen and not stood up and said "enough!"

Now don't take that the wrong way.  I'm just saying that if we believe that X is doomed from the start because Y beats them up every time they get involved in a political issue or campaign then we'll never see another 2010 midterm in our lifetime.

We should be backing these people like Palin and Cruz and Bachmann not running away from them.  The media hated Reagan...and he pulled off two landslide victories when there was only three networks and no Fox News.

That's all I'm trying to say.

Yeah Reagan was not afraid to push back unlike the Milquetoast republicans we have now.

I think Rush said it best; the GOP listens to liberal "consultants" therefore they cannot stand up to the liberal party.

I sure hope so. It is a sad state of affairs when the Repub party dictates what candidates to support for Prez and Congress. The elites in the party loathe the Tea Party critters in Congress and those out side the beltway like Palin. It is time to say no to these Yankee RINO pieces of shit like Christie, Coulter, Krawhammer, Wills, etc . We need someone that will not suck up to the liberals and will give them tit for tat. Unfortunately, there are not many of those around. Watch the Repub. party try to undercut Rubio if he runs.
