Lunatic DUmmy Dennis the Menace - Not Dead Yet
« on: January 25, 2013, 10:21:20 PM »
After being absent since Monday, the DUmp's professionally diagnosed lunatic, DUmmy Dennis the Menace, reappears with a gay story about his morning at the luxury gym he can't afford.

At least he's alive. I feared he had hanged himself about ten months too early for a strong DOTY run.

Reliving my childhood -- the way it SHOULD have been.

OK, another "silver linings" moment (OK, maybe cliche, but I really like the movie and the book).

I'm doing all of the crap I wasn't allowed to do the first time. I don't think I need to go into elaborate detail about why my life as a boy was Hell on earth -- the phrase "psycho gun toting abusive father who made life like living in a North Korean gulag" pretty much sums it up.

So, what does a 47 year old guy do after a major life crisis and emotional breakdown?

Well, in my case, I am doing a lot of things I never got to do the first time around. This morning, even though I am absolutely awful at it, I was shooting baskets, well, attempting to shoot baskets, with a couple of guys at my gym. After I did my 10 laps and my fitness group.

You have no idea how much that made me feel like a kid again, in a very good way.

Anybody with the desire to throw a baseball around in the spring, let me know, I'm your guy.

So, anyone else have a "reliving my childhood" in a good way story?

PS - I also posted this in the Men's forum.

I'll bet the guys at the gym loved a shootaround with a 47-year-old queer lunatic.

If you want to throw a baseball around with DUmmy Dennis the Menace, I doubt you'll need a glove.

I wish he hadn't mentioned that movie. I was already embarrassed that I sort of liked it. Now I'm really ashamed.

4. I got a Furby for Christmas
Yes, I know they're generally for children, but he's just so dang cute!

I love playing with him and listening to the neat sounds he makes. It calms me, in a way, and does take me back to my childhood(had a Furby when they first came out too, in fact I still have it).

Another thing that makes me feel like a kid is watching old cartoons. Animaniacs, Rugrats, basically any cartoon from the 90s takes me back to a time when I was just a child, and had no worries, stress, or problems to deal with.

Liberals want to relive their childhoods until the day they die and expect someone else to pick up the tab.

I feel ashamed that I share a birth year in common with this...being. I hope he just turned 47 in January.

I'd LOVE to relive my childhood and teen years, growing up on a dairy farm.

14+ hour days driving tractors, mending fences, herding cows, planting and harvesting crops, mowing hay, repairing machinery...

Punctuated with weekends watching high school sports, racing motorcycles, partying, "getting lost" with my girlfriend in the cornfield...   :naughty:

I just don't feel the need to, since I did it RIGHT THE FIRST TIME!!!!

I'm sorta reliving my childhood...through watching cartoons.

Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Looney Tunes, etc.

Of course, I'm not doing this for myself, as I'm doing it to introduce my son to GOOD cartoons. And thankfully, he is taking to them quite well, sparing me the hell of what passes for cartoons nowdays.

I just introduced my kids to Animaniancs.  They loved it.   The only problem is my son said, "Hello Nurse!" the other day at the doctor's office.  The nurse knew where that came from and had a good laugh out of it.

Were I to awaken to find my self 5 years old again but still knowing of  what will happen in the future my family would have called in a Priest to excised the demons out of me.

In no way would they have believed the world today.   Gives a thought, I am not that OLD, but, what will Earth be like when my great grand kids are my age ??????

Will we still have America or some kind of mish mash of the Constitution and Dictatorship. Who will be Reincarnated as Caligula to give the future a run for its money ????

Interesting to think that most people will work from home via computers we have yet to dream up. Kids will go to school via computer, grocery stores will deliver an order to your door, all banking and bill paying done on computer.

Is it possible we will become a semi isolated community, hiding behind concrete walls to keep the ignorant from breaching our walls and stealing our females ?????

Ah but so often sifi does come true later in years.

If Dennis the menace wants to feel like a kid again.
Maybe he should run with scissors...in the street.

In a couple of generations at most, humanity will begin the process of colonizing the solar system.  It will be like any frontier at any other point at the point.  I wonder how long until the day comes when the United Colonies of Mars send Earth a message saying, "Thanks, but no thanks we're going our own way."

I enjoy Denny's depressive phases much more than the manic ones.  It's nice knowing another bawling in the bathroom episode is not far off.
