primitive wonders why welfare is disliked

If the RW hates welfare so much, why do they keep paying less and less for labor?

Someone needs to tell the far-right the reason more and more people are having to turn to welfare programs is because businesses are not paying people enough money anymore. Right now more than half of new jobs created are under $10 an hour, and many minimum wage. How exactly is a family supposed to live on that wage?

You think people want to be on welfare? That's completely foolish. For most people it is humiliating and embarrassing to ask for assistance. Of course they would rather make enough money to support themselves. Yes, I know a couple people out there are frauding the system. Im not denying that. But the vast majority that are not are unemployed and want to work or single mothers or have become disabled or can't make enough to feed the kids every night. etc. etc.. These people are not frauding the system.

And another thing while Im on this topic...listening to conservatives, they want us to believe that welfare programs are the reason we are in so much debt. That it is the fault of the "moochers" that we can't balance the budget and therefore the programs should be scaled back or even eliminated. This stuff they are talking about..."mooching" as they call it...it's table scraps compared to the waste that is being poured out to corporate welfare and the bloated military contracts.

So maybe instead of bitching and moaning about taxes and debt, the rich should pay their workers more money. Not only will they be able to support themselves and get off welfare, but the tax revenue will go up helping to lower the budget deficit.

Such simplemindedness on display.

Let me break it down for you, primitive.

Yes, how are they?  A better question is why did those who are barely earning above minimum find themselves in that position?  My guess is they goofed around in school and are generally undependable or untrainable.  Employees who do well get noticed and are rewarded financially.  You see, that used to be called America.  In your world, America should mean everyone gets the good things in life and all they have to do is exist in order to get it.  That's just not reality.

Also, knowing they can't do any better, why are they becoming families to begin with?  If someone can't earn enough to support themselves, maybe they don't need to be taking on the additional responsibilites of having a family they can't afford.  Did that ever occur to you, stupid primitive?

And why should businesses pay someone $20/hr for a job that's maybe worth $7.50/hr?  They shouldn't, and they won't.  Should have made better grades and applied yourself in life, liberals.

Maybe back in the 40's and 50's this was true, but somewhere in the 60's the attitude of those who are mooching off others changed, and the shame of not being able to provide for themselves went away.  There certainly isn't any shame from those doing it now.  The attitude today is live off the gov't and complain you need more.  So the whole premise of "You think people want to be on welfare?" has been proven through actions, and the answer is resoundingly "Yes."  And I am talking about the vast majority seeing it this way or they wouldn't be doing it for as long as they have.

Do you have the mental capacity to stick to the topic?  Alright, trick question.  I know you don't.

Anytime we talk about the welfare system you nuts automatically go to "corporate/military welfare" mode.  How about just once addressing the topic without bringing it some other topic for cover?  Can you do that maybe just once?

The moochers are a major reason we are in debt, coupled with those who are the moocher enablers.  It's more than just the dollar amounts, it's the social welfare moocher's attitude that's costly.  Moochers and moocher enablers make up those who voted for Dear Leader in 2008 and 2012.  You're in one category or the other.  The idea you can spend, spend, spend on all these social programs without negative budget consequences completely escapes you dolts.  We don't have a taxing problem, we have a spending problem.  You Keynesians are too stupid to breathe.

Why do we dislike welfare as it currently is?  Here's the answer.

Because it's a disincentive to liberty and justice.  Because it says that the state is more important than the individual.  Because over time, collectivism kills freedom.

I know, this is way over your tiny little heads.

They should not be pestering their employer for a raise, they should be pestering their government to lower taxes so the employer can afford to pay higher wages.

Bill Clinton said that he would take us from an industrial based economy to a service based economy.....welcome to burger flipping....it's a service based job.

I was talking to my Nana about this last night and she's appalled that they don't have to work for their money like they did during the Great Depression instead of being handed everything with absolutely no end and no conditions.

Even in the 60's some of these idiots still had a slight understanding that there's no such thing as a free ride cuz you used to see those bumper stickers that said "Ass, Gas or Grass...nobody rides for free!" Now they want the ass, gas, grass and the damn car for free too.

Meanwhile they'll bitch about everything they don't have instead of being thankful someone has decided to work so he or she can pour more of their earnings into 0bama's stash.

We used to be the land of opportunity.
Now days we're just the land of allforfree.
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”
