I think she got 1.8 million for her appearance.

Are you making that up or did she really get that much?

If she did...

HOLY SHIT!!!

That's just wrong...
Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Save the Earth... it's the only planet with chocolate.

"My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far I've finished two bags of M&M's and a chocolate cake. I feel better already." – Dave Barry

A balanced diet is chocolate in both hands.

Aren't the inauguration expenses covered by private funding with the exception of security?

Beyoncé arrived so late Sunday night she did not have time to rehearse with the U.S. Marine Band, which was asked to accompany the pop star's performance, according to the inauguration official.

I get it that alot of blacks are prepetually on B.P.T., but seriously, when you are given the honor to perform the National Anthem for the Presidential Inauguration, I would think you would clear your calendar to make sure you arrive in plenty of time to prepare for the task at hand.  If this is asking too much of the prima donna, then another performer should be selected who takes the honor more seriously.

She recorded her part separately from the band and her rendition was married with the band's music, the official said.

Your statement could do without the racial implications. If she was unable to rehearse due to lack of scheduling, then that was HER fault, not anything to do with the color of her skin. If she's too much of a prima donna or diva to show up in a timely manner, that's due to the people who constantly kiss her ass and tell her she's special, not due to the color of her skin.

Yeah, I never thought of Obama being late for almost all of his speeches and pressers as a black thing.  I just put it on him being an arrogant asshole.
