Dear Leader's second coronation speech.
« on: January 21, 2013, 12:43:07 PM »
I am sure that everyone else has been actively avoiding watching Dear Leader's second coronation speech on the tee vee. So as a *pubic service I am posting a link to his speech.

I'm not even batting an eyelash at missing any of this.

My memories from participating in the last one...especially freezing my ass off at the reviewing stand for 10 hours sitting next to Ed Donahue of AP radio news...will last me a lifetime.

I myself can't stand when I read post on DU that are very similar to this.

I don't like the guy, can't stand him and what he wants to accomplish, but am I not willing to listen to him from time to time?  How do you actually gather opinions of said speech with out even listening?  We demonize the liberals anytime they drink the koolaid and follow blindly yet I see it with conservatives all the time, not as much but it happens.

I think we can give folks a pass for not watching his coronation. It's not like we stick in our fingers in our ears and scream "la la la la" all the time.
We either listen to, or read the transcripts of all the important stuff. Today was just him blathering on and on about the things we have known for the past 5 years or so.

Agree with Freeper. I don't watch TV all that much, and definitely didn't watch any today other than what Mrs E had on when I got home, but today was ALL BARRY, ALL THE TIME. Constant, never-ending worshiping at the Altar of Barry. It's disgusting.

I typically wait a day or two then go back and read the transcript. With pain.

And I can agree with that, but it was like some appeared to be the proverbial "finger in the ear, lalalalalala."

Like I said is the coronation really all that important?
Not one thing was said that we didn't already know.
If this had been an important event then I am sure everyone would either watch it or read the transcript.
Every time there has been a major event we all have found out what was being said so we know exactly what is going on. Like when Barry announced his executive actions that was something that everyone should see for themselves what was said.

0bama getting another term is a depressing event for us, so I fully understand folks not wanting to listen to him take his victory lap.

I was at the Doctor's office and they had it on TV otherwise I would not have seen any of it.  To me it was a waste of time.

Actually, the inauguration speech IS important - though the past two have nauseated me to the point of illness.

One could argue that the first inaugural speech by a brand-new president is more important than his second, but in our nation's history, inaugural speeches have weighed heavily. I think of JFK's speech, "Ask not what your country can do for you..." and Lincoln's 2nd inaugural speech as well.

Well, this one boiled down to '**** the economy and jobs, whatever I want is just and sound, whoever stands against me is a rabid partisan who hates kittens, more people on welfare is wonderful because they vote Democrat, and I'm going to take care of every Leftist special interest group that turned out for me even if it kills this country, and I mean that.'

Hi,

This reminds me of a great line from Paul Newman in the movie, "The Sting"

He was late to a poker game, walked in and said, "Sorry I'm late, I had to take a crap!"  Kinda puts things in perspective.

Gee, I am sorry I missed the inauguaration propaganda, I was trimming my toenails....

Why sit there and watch a professional liar preach his BS to a group of uneducated adoring fans.  All it does is raise my blood pressure.

Let the countdown begin.....

regards,

Maybe so, but everyone should listen to what he has to say. It's intelligence. The one thing about Chairman MaObama is that he telegraphs his moves ALL THE TIME. Listening to what he has to say, gives us who oppose him an idea of the particular things we need to be keeping a close eye on, so he doesn't slip one past us, if you catch my drift.

Hi 5 for you being able to see that, most do not, instead they hear the 'siren song of socialism' and it sounds so sweet free medical, free food, free housing, free cell fones, free bicycles, free "bread and circuses", what a great life it will be and if you must work then the union will protect you from the bad WHITE men who own the company.

Obama is a true communist:  Do as I say, no not do as I do, my words are only propaganda to the dumb and dumber.

As a great pet once said:  "your actions speak so loud I cannot hear your words"
