Uh, DUmmies--there is most DEFINITELY a limit on paid sick time/hospital time before you need to claim FMLA.
Companies LOOOOOVVVVEEEEE to track that shit, and even if you're "entitled" to 80 hours of sick/hospital time per year (as I am), if you get over 40 hours in any 12-month running period, management has to have a little chat with you.
Now think about that...couple days sick here, couple days there, Junior has the sniffles, next thing you know boss man is coming down and asking you, "Why so much sick time?"
Couple more days sick, and you go to HR, couple more days, and you might be looking for another job if it's the same issue over and over and you don't take it under FMLA.
But then again, why am I telling you this? You don't get paid sick days at Taco Bell.
