There was a "gun rights" rally at my state house yesterday

A swell of 700 gun people showed up to scream about tyranny and the founding fathers and don't tread on me and so forth about a proposed law to limit magazine capacity.

I can't wait for the day when these people are as scorned as the "smokers rights" people. I say that as a smoker. I remember the hue and cry when smoking bans started creeping along until a state wide ban took effect. Everyone adjusted and now it's the normal.

I also remember when seat belts were first mandated. No one was going to tell us what to do. Now I wear a seat belt out of habit and can barely remember the days of not wearing one (or the car from childhood that didn't have seat belts).

These people don't need machine guns and if our politicians have the courage they'll get used to not having them just like people are now used to lighting up outside and wearing seat belts.

Yeah and if they take away the 1st amendment we will all adjust I suppose and life will be great where we have no rights.  :mental:

Oh and hey DUmmy, an AR 15 is not a machine gun.

1. speaking as a gun owner...

I 100% agree

When they come for your gun you will be asking what happened. You sit by and support a bunch of silly regulations that won't do a damn thing to stop the next "Newtown" then when it happens again and they come up with more silly ideas you will jump on board until the day they finally come knocking on your door and say hand it over.

2. Because 'Indifference to Dead Kids Day' didn't have quite the same ring to it.

Yeah because if he only had seven rounds in the "clip" it would have stooped him.  :whatever:

3. I agree, those protestors should be ashamed to be part of today's gun culture.

Pretty much a bunch of callous, right wing bigots.

You are exactly right, we need to change our view of these people and their dang gun love.

Yeah you are showing your bigotry towards gun owners and you call them the bigots.  :mental:

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Hey Anne you freak show refugee...every day is indifference to dead babies day at the DUmp as you evil pieces of shit celebrate sucking the brains out of an unborn infant as some sort of "right" that never in a million years the founders could have imagined.

I hope there is a special place in Hell for you to spend eternity.  :bird:

How many shootings were reported at this gun rally?   How many people were hurt or killed by gun violence at the gun rally?
Biden is an illegitimate President.  Change my mind.

10. there does seem to be a lot of confusion over what is a semi auto and full auto

Im in the process at the moment of buying a full auto carbine and its no where as simple as purchasing a semi auto. I have to do the paperwork get a visit from the atf mayby to check the storage and some other stuff alsonhave to have it signed off by the sheriff. Its not just a matter of turning up and buying it.

It is only confusing to the low information voters.
