Ah you youngsters that have no idea of what a Sapper is.   One  gets a sock, inserts  3-4 rolls on nickles, ties it off snug and can bring down on the head of someone right smartly.   The longer the sock the more velocity the weight will impact a victims head or face.   Fore runnier of numb chucks, just a flick of the wrist and can be lethal.   

I so believe that the term for someone being taken comes from this, reason why they are called Sapps.
