The Next Person in Westchester or Rockland Counties NY that has a home burglary should file suit against lohud.com and the Journal News specifically for letting criminals know which houses are easy prey.Let’s say I was a criminal and I liked to break into homes and steal other people’s stuff. Let’s take it further and say I lived in one of these counties or a neighboring one. I now know thanks to the Journal News which houses to go after. I now know that every house on Orbeak Ln just off of Lake St and Broadway is unarmed and easier to rob. Now it may be possible that they have a shotgun, but that is unlikely given the area, besides that is why I carry a gun. They even provide me with a Google map with little dots on each gun owner house. So now I switch to satellite mode and can get a decent idea of the home layout.I know to stay off of High Ridge Ct because many houses there have permit holders. Being that The Journal News was dumb enough to print this fine treasure map for me I cannot trust they have the intelligence to get every house correct and may have marked the wrong house. You see by a person in that neighborhood being armed it gives me pause before going into it as they may react and help shooting me in the process. We can’t have that. So I will stick to places like Munson Rd where there isn’t one permit and take my chances on them not having a shotgun.Thank you Journal News for this wonderful treasure map. As a criminal I am most likely lazy and not willing to do this research myself, but you have given me a wonderful tool. I’ll be sure to put you on my Christmas list. Oh and by the way I’ll make real sure I hit your houses also. After all you helped me do it and thieves take advantage of each other.In conclusion if I lived in one of these Counties you damn sure bet that if me or anyone I knew was robbed I would be heading straight to a lawyer to get a suit going against the Journal News for aiding in the commission of a felony.
