Truth be known Frank, I don't blame you.  I have done the progression:  C-64 -->C-128 --> Windows 3.1 --> Windows 95 --> all the way thru Windows 7.  Due to the fact that I still play some old DOS based wargames, I use XP Media Pro and can boot either way into Windows 7 or XP (cold boot selecting the boot drive in BIOS Setup).  The next time I boot up with 7, I'll probably have 300-400 updates to deal with.   :-)

I loved 95.  Hated to go to 98.

Some of us have been there since Day One, but it's all good.

And since liberals have notoriously short memories (due to the lack of brain cells), they forget that we have many computer programs that read, analyze and catalog their internet rantings.  The database exceeds 1.5 TB at this point.
Help keep America beautiful...deface a liberal.

The Democrat and Republican parties are simply the left and right wings of the same bird of prey.

The road to freedom is paved with dead liberals.

Of course I'm joking, sir, but it's no secret I tend to be, uh, behind the times when it comes to computers.

I do believe I was usng Windows 95 as late as 2007, though.

I didn't really hate them at first.  It was more of a feeling like you would with a child who, simply refuses to listen and consistently gets into trouble.  That didn't last long.

I discovered Skins's island the day it was born, purely by chance.

I had the television on (I lived in Omaha at the time, and had a set for guests) the morning of January 20, 2001, and just by random chance I happened to be walking from the bedroom, where the computer was, to the kitchen to make some coffee, when I walked through the living room and glanced at the television.

At that very precise moment--I'm sure God meant me to see it--the C-Span cameras recording the inaugural parade focused for a couple of minutes on Skins and Lord Marblehead EarlG hoding up a banner, DEMOCRATICUNDERGROUND.COM.

I took note of the name, and a few days later I checked it out.

I'm sure God meant for me to see it, because if I'd been a minute earlier, or a minute later, walking past the television, I would've never known.

I have no doubt that's franksolich's divinely-appointed Purpose in Life; to be a Scourge of the Primitives.

I heard that Frank was still using a Commodore 64 until he got a computer with windows 95 on it.

A couple months ago my mom held up a floppy disk and asked if I had a reader for it on my computer. I just laughed and walked to my room. True story

I didn't see it on the tee vee, but Neal Boortz out of Atlanta did. He posted a link to it on his website. I posted there at DU before they decided that no conservatives were allowed I lasted about a day. I may be part of the reason why they decided to automatically ban all conservatives.  :-)
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.
