It was HOT here today.  I was just bitching about my AC going out over the weekend, thankfully it's fixed now.

Dang, Lauri.  :o

It's burning up here in Savannah.

Good thing my A/C works far too well.  (It basically has two settings, despite what I try to set it to:  Hell, and Refrigerator  :lmao:)

im pretty sure it snowed in our doorway a lot..

it has been pouring rain all day long and the dog went to lay on his bed all curled up. the two kitties are hugging it out on the ottoman.

we are probably a few degrees colder than seattle but here on the eastside it is .. 52 degrees and falling.

We're chilling in MN too. Very weird spring and early summer for us. We are about 15-20 degrees below normal, which is 75-80 for this time of year. It's hard to get out of bed in the morning.... it's just good old fashioned snuggling weather.  :naughty:

Agreed.  Back when I was first checking this college out, I drove down and stayed at the Marriott SpringHill Suites a couple of times (one for investigation, the other for orientation).   I could NEVER get that A/C any warmer than the Arctic.  *shivers*

And now, as I previously mentioned, it's the same with my apartment.

ok.. here's what we'll need.

sleeping arrangements for four, maybe six if the kids bring friends.

a cushy bed for one 110 pound lap dog.

beds for two cats, one of them is bulimic.

piles of meat for the husband at every meal. and wireless everywhere we go.

oh and air conditioning.  :-)

I have a 1-bedroom apartment with lots of closet space. I could probably stow you and your family away on my balcony.

AC is not a problem.  :-)

I turned my AC on yesterday.  I cannot stand to be hot and the temperature wasn't that high but with the 100% humidity we have been getting in Illinois (good for the corn, bad for my hair) I couldn't stand it anymore.  My thermostat is set at a comfy 72 degrees in honor of Obamessiah.

Todays high is predicted to be 93 with temps in the high 90's into next week.  No real chance of rain till mid week next week.  Looks like we're in for a long hot, dry summer here.

Time to change the A/C filters.

As I try to remember what, if anything, I miss from Illinois and humidity is not on that list....either is mosquitoes!

78 here with 11% humidity....rain I doubt it...we have only had .83 inches of rain all year!  :-)

still cold in the Pacific Northwest... the dog is actually nuzzling his nose under his own fur to keep warm.

Quote
Tonight
Lows: 42-48

Tuesday was a very wet day around western Washington. A slow moving front gave most areas a dousing in the morning. During the afternoon two convergence zones formed dumping anywhere from 1-3 inches of rainfall in the areas from Seattle to Marysville and up around the Mount Vernon and Bellingham areas.

High pressure is building in over the state today. This should end the showers by midday in most areas with gradual clearing this afternoon.

Yet another storm will move into the state on Thursday. A warm front will brush by to the northwest in the morning for a chance of a few scattered showers. This will be followed by a cold front later in the day that should spread some steady rain into the state during the late afternoon or evening.

Cool showery air will remain over the state on Friday for numerous showers and temperatures running about 10 degrees below normal.

Weak high pressure will build in on Saturday decreasing the showers and giving a few sunbreaks. However, by Sunday another storm will begin to approach from the west for an increasing chance of showers by afternoon.

A cold low pressure area should move in early next weak for more showers and more cool weather.

we wont hit the 60s this week or next..  :bawl:

  Hell, and Refrigerator  :lmao:)

I know the feeling. The wife trys to fry me in winter and freeze me in summer. I'll be glad when she gets her seasons straightened out.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin
