What happened that my SS withholdings in my paycheck just went up.

My paycheck just went down by an amount that I don't feel comfortable with. I guarantee this decrease will hurt me more than the increase in income taxes will hurt those making over $400,000.

I wish I had copied the headlines in the news the other day...one said something on the order of

Tax increases avoided for 98% of the people

and the other was on the lines of

Tax increses for 77% of the people.


Funny how the DUmmies never thought they had to pay a thin red dime. Everybody gets to pay anly those making over $400,000 get to pay extra...more than their fair share.

The payroll "tax" is not really a tax... Water is not wet.

It was never meant to be permanent. I've got a bridge for sale. If it was made permanent, it would have undermined the Social Security Trust Fund and cost more to future retirees more than any chained COLA.
