How does this make them safer?
Guns for me but not for thee. No. Not quite true. Anti gunners think that they'll be able to claim the high road with a "I'll hire a person who has a gun to protect me and still be able to say that I don't own a gun."Rosie O'Donald comes to mind.

I heard on the news yesterday that Diane Feinstein carrys a gun. And she wants a gun ban.
She did. She says she doesn't anymore. I would lay money on it that she does.
"The nation that couldn’t be conquered by foreign enemies has been conquered by its elected officials" odawg Free Republic in reference to the GOP Elites who are no difference than the Democrats
Just curious, owning a gun is legal, and papers are printing names of people who own them? abortion is legal, would it be different if the paper decided to get the names of those who had abortions and print them too?
IIRC, Kansas or some state wanted to collect information on people who got abortions, excluding their names and liberals raised hell about it.
.....and a list of names of who the babby daddy might be.
So they're being hypocritical? That's an interesting idea!
soon as you find your manhood all else falls into place.
If Ft. Hood was "workplace violence," then the Hindenburg was an air show.
I don't know if sand glows in the dark, but we're gonna find out.
Apparently the paper involved is dying a little bit more every time they run the presses, thanks to the booming Obama economy. This smacks of a desperate plea for attention and readership, but I think they've pissed off a lot more people than they've interested with the gambit.
So, you'd posit that this falls under the Law of Unintended Consequences, then?
There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site
