Clinton: Open to being Obama's vice president
Says she would consider it to help Democrats win the White House in '08

BREAKING NEWS
updated 10 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - Hillary Clinton has told congressional colleagues she would be open to becoming Barack Obama's vice presidential nominee, saying she would consider it if it would help Democrats win the White House.

Clinton, a New York senator, made the comment on a conference call with other New York lawmakers Tuesday, according a participant on the call.

The senator's remarks came in response to a question from Democratic Rep. Nydia Velazquez who said she believed the best way for Obama to win over key voting blocs, including Hispanics, would be for him to choose Clinton as his running mate.

"I am open to it," Clinton replied, if it would help the party's prospects in November.

Yes, the surefire loser should definitely pick a running mate with the highest negatives of any politician ever.  That will be a positive for his campaign!  Ha Ha.

I simply cannot see Barackstar wanting to include her on the ticket.

Me either.  *shrug*  Plus, there's too many dead people surrounding The Clintons, it wouldn't be safe for Obama if she was his VP.

and not only that, but his whole "change" message is solidly dead if he puts her anywhere near him on the ticket. to be smart about it, he either needs a pretty middle of the road white guy - or a VERY conservative black guy. or maybe a conservative woman. but being the socialist/marxist that he is, he wont do the smart thing.

I'll bet obama is pissed.  he just clinched the nomination, and hillary stepped all over his story with all this "dream ticket" VEEP discussion.   and howard fineman over on PMSNBC says he has talked to both campaigns;   hillary doesn't really want it, and obama wants nothing to do with her.

Mrs. Obamanation will never allow this to happen.
