Undies, I totally agree with you. I think that she's hiding out to avoid testifying. Maybe she still has a tinge of conscience left, but sort of doubt it. She's sort of the modern version of Lady MacBeth---the out out damned spot thing. She still can't wash the blood of those killed in Benghazi off those hands.

His death is being "investigated" as a suicide in Afghanistan.

The story comes from the Russian Gazette, and while my Russian is quite limited, the article carries a photograph of a classic beefy Russian general in full uniform at a desk.

I began thinking that no Russian newspaper uses a picture of general and writes about "military reports circulating through the Kremlin" without either being given permission or being crazy.  So I will return to the idea that this could be a phony story planted to stir-up conspiracy theory trouble for Iran in the conspiracy-theory mad Middle East.
