The simple solution is to wall off Chicago, install checkpoints and searches on all routes into Chicago. Once that is done, do a person by person and building by building search for guns. 

Or we just build the wall and not let anyone out.  :-)

It never ends. Chicago has the most gun control laws in the US and they scream for more. I say we should nuke it from orbit and call it even.

You need to take it one step further.

After walling off the city, or at least the gangbanger districts, any gangbanger found without a weapon should be given one.

Naw, with the gun buy back it will be easy to arm everyone in Chicago over the age of 70 with protection.  Empty the nursing homes of all able bodied residences and give them lessons in fire arm safety to go along with the senior centers teaching Cane Foo.  First hook the bad person around the neck then shoot the sucker, can be done from a wheel chair or in bed.

We have to outsmart the crooks, out think them and be ready to defend ourselves as we do not have a cop on every corner.
