Not all of these apply to everyone. What are some other ways you have found you were "wasting" money each month? And what ways have you found to save $$$?

1. What electronic accessories?

Who takes clothes to the dry cleaners that often?

It's not necessary to program a thermostat if you simply turn down the heat when leaving the house and at night, and putting it up only as needed during the day.
 
I save money these days by not buying books and instead checking them out of the library, and not eating out very often. Cooking my own food from scratch, including using organic food, is vastly cheaper than restaurants or fast food outlets.

It's funny when a liberal discusses ways not to waste money when they belong to a party that makes waste, fraud and abuse a plank in the party platform.  :p

Speaking of fraud, waste, and abuse, I came across this thread this affternoon.  Another primitive gets on the disability train.

After 4 years of waiting...I have been approved for SSDI!!

This is a huge deal for me and my family. What it took to get here was sacrifices by my family I wish I'd never had to ask...But I made it with a roof over our heads and for the most part food in the kitchen....
 
Food stamps & thankfully I was able to get some financial help from a few of my relatives.
 
And now I can actually live without fear of loosing our home-because of the system Republicans want to dismantle.
 
I'm still in shock frankly but wanted to share...

End of the world my arse!...

Wasting money is in the eye of the beholder. I spend a lot of money on some things that people would consider a waste, but it's stuff I like and can afford so it's no big deal.


Also who the hell goes to the dry cleaners every week? I can't even recall the last time I needed to take something to one.

Oh for crying out loud. 99 percent of these welfare pukes don't earn their money and waste it at the grocery store every day and these damned dummies are worried about wasting money? Here is an idea dummies... get out and work your ass off for your money and then nobody will have to tell you when you are wasting money because you will know.  When that money comes hard and not in a magical check from the government you will find out just what you can live without.

At work, the boss, the man that makes the decisions that brings in money for all of us employees, has been reviewing the upcoming health care contracts that will cover the medicaid population in Kansas. 

How about this.  There are proposals that will pay the patients to keep appointments, and increased funding for cell phones. 

How is that for wasting money.  Nothing like throwing money to some of the most irresponsible people in society.

Likely linked to the new pay for performance metrics that Obamacare is forcing on hospitals.  Hospitals will be penalized for poor health outcomes, including hospital re-admittance, but there is nothing forcing patients to comply.  Hospitals probably figure that paying people to attend appointments is cheaper than not being reimbursed by the government when their lack of self care has predicable results.
