I think (though I'm not sure) that's the 298th Army Band's bus parked just to the side of Checkpoint Charlie in Berlin, circa 1984. Lots of drama at this location throughout the Cold War.

The infamous US/Soviet standoff at Checkpoint Charlie in October, 1961.

By the way Mr Mannn, thanks for doing this.

We're up to 164 comments for the day thus far, as compared with the daily average of 553.

The "day" on conservativecave ends at 3:00 a.m. central time; I dunno why.

We got to hit at least the daily average to get to 1,000,000 comments by December 30, the 5th anniversary of conservativecave.

I'm not up to posting any more pictures of primitives on the comment-accumulating thread in the Sandhills forum, but maybe tomorrow.

This is from a 26ft Wellcraft Excel approaching Chicago.

We put in at Michigan city where I took the first shift, I kept close enough to the coast to make it out. My dad took the next shift and drove straight away from the coast and was still driving when I woke up and took this pic.
