“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin

I'm 74 now, so I don't know if I'm smarter than a 60 year old youngster.

But I can tie a hangman's knot, I know which state seceded from the Confederacy, I can bore sight a rifle, I can perform a tracheotomy with a razor blade and a fountain pen, I can disassemble and reassemble an M2 carbine blind folded, I can build a house addition and wire and plumb it, I can set the clock on a VCR, I can build a PC and install Windows, and I can cook a Christmas dinner. All of the essential things in life.

But don't pay attention to me, I'm just a school dropout.

I'm 42, and got them all.

Speaking of American Pie and Buddy Holly, more trivia: "That'll be the day" came from the John Wayne movie "The Searchers", and Buddy Holly's bass player at that time gave up his seat on the plane to Ritchie Valens. The bass player's name was Waylon Jennings.
