Gun Owners of America hints at armed revolt
Executive Director Larry Pratt tells Chris Matthews that government's "gone overboard," and gun owners should act
Things got real ugly real quick during Chris Matthews’ interview with Larry Pratt on MSNBC’s “Hardball” this evening.

The reptilian executive director of Gun Owners of America, last seen telling gun control advocates “they have the blood of little children on their hands,” argued that we are “less free without automatic rifles,” and need to stay prepared.

Matthews, who loves nothing more than hurling himself through cracked-open doors like this, was all too happy to oblige with a “prepared for what?”

Pratt: “To take on our government. government has gone overboard.” He continued that it’s time to take action “when elections are stolen.”

Does this mean that the Gun Owners of America’s 300,000 members are preparing to revolt?

What weapon does he have in his arsenal to defeat an armored car? Does he really think that he's going to shoot through an M1A2 Abrams tank? How's it going to work out when the government lobs a few mortar rounds at him? Then there's always trying to shoot down a Predator drone with a Hellfire missile. Think this guy can hit that?

It's such a fallacy to think that we're going to prevent a government intent on tyranny with a gun. It's not as if owning a gun makes you bullet-proof!!!

They think danger lurks around every corner and their only defense is to be heavily armed. I am always astounded by the level of fear they display. If I as a middle aged woman living alone in the inner city can handle myself perfectly well without weapons, why do they feel the need for an arsenal?

I wish they'd make up their ****ing minds. Is there danger out there or not? If there's not, then why all the hysteria and gun-confiscation talk from the Left? If there is, then why the insistence on removing the law-abiding gun owners' last line of defense against it? You can't have it both ways.

I think Hillbilly Heroin Rush called it "Club Gitmo," so the NtRAitors should love it there.

No Gitmo for terrorists who would love to saw the heads off Americans, but plenty of Gitmo for your American neighbors who just want to exercise their constitutional rights. I think we see where their allegiance lies.

"Bring it on"? Remember how they reacted to the last person that said that? If only they had been able to show that level of support to the troops being shot at in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Apparently they can only muster that kind of support in their wet dreams of their political opponents being killed.

The DUmmies/Salon are of course...taking the conversation that Three Martini Matthews and Larry Pratt had on Screwball.

I heard the interview at sick call yesterday.

Matthews kept prodding and poking to get the answer he wanted from Pratt.

Pratt actually started off citing the 2nd Amendment.

What got the part of the discussion going that has the wroter at Salon and the Primitives in an uproar is when Matthews asked Pratt if he agreed with Sharon Angle about needing guns incase politicians got out of hand.
