Things got real ugly real quick during Chris Matthews’ interview with Larry Pratt on MSNBC’s “Hardball” this evening.

The reptilian executive director of Gun Owners of America, last seen telling gun control advocates “they have the blood of little children on their hands,” argued that we are “less free without automatic rifles,” and need to stay prepared.

Matthews, who loves nothing more than hurling himself through cracked-open doors like this, was all too happy to oblige with a “prepared for what?”

Pratt: “To take on our government. government has gone overboard.” He continued that it’s time to take action “when elections are stolen.”

Does this mean that the Gun Owners of America’s 300,000 members are preparing to revolt?

If there were any such armed resistance to a ban/confiscation of civilian firearms (and that's what it would take...a really unlikely occurrence because it's politically un-doable), then there would be way, way more potential insurrectionists than the 300K members of that organization.

That would still prove little threat to the US military, save for one huge problem: the US military is skewed significantly to the conservative side of things these days, and the majority of its members would oppose (many of them vehemently) any such law. Would they obey orders to fire on people resisting such a law? I very, very much doubt it...t least not all or even most of them.

History has demonstrated 100% of the time that when a government confiscates guns hundreds of millions of people die. History has also demonstrated that the first step toward confiscation are reasonable controls on firearm ownership.

Millions of Americans are seeing the parallels between 1930s Germany and the last four years of the Obama regime.
1. Hardcore socialism taking over the government. (Yes DUches fascism is socialism)
2. Very bad and sustained economic conditions.
3. Huge buildup of government control and power.
4. Megalomaniac as the leader of the government.
5. Disarmament of the general populace.
6. Double digit inflation.
7. A national police force under control of one person.
8. Health care under the control of government.
9. Demonization of a very small section of the populace.
10. The state and it's leader becoming a religion.
11. Complete control of media to propagandize for the state.

Their leaders; Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin [Ceausescu, Tito, Pol Pot, etc.] and Mao Tse Tung. The outstanding legacy of these individuals is that they each tried to out-do the others in the total number of their own citizens which they murdered. It is a fact that each of these men killed more of their own civilian citizens than they lost in military conflict.

The reason for this is inherent to socialism. It promises things that it cannot possibly deliver. When socialist politicians in power come to the realization that it is impossible to deliver on their promises and political unrest develops, they have two options if they plan to stay in power. First, they must locate a scapegoat on whom they can blame their inability to deliver. Any Jew can tell you who that was for the Germans and the Russians. The second is to develop, and rapidly so, a state security apparatus to keep them in office - the SS, the KGB, [Securitate, Stasi] etc.The basic tenets of socialism are:

1. Seduce the populace into accepting the government as the arbitrator of all problems; government from cradle-to-grave

2. Begin delivering on those services to make the citizens dependent

3. Take away the citizens' guns

4. Increase taxes on all services while destroying any free market alternative services

5. Blame the chosen scapegoat for the inability to meet demand for services

6. Have the centralized national police force round up any dissidents

And we should blame the left because it is their ideas and policies that made it possible for massacres like Newtown to occur. They can never explain why the cities with the most gun control laws are the worse places to live in because of all the violence that goes on and those with fewer gun control laws the least.

Most if not all of the military won't be siding with the DUmp humpers. They swore to protect the Constitution not to the President or Congress or the Government. Also there is that pesky Posse Commitatus (sp?) law that keeps them from enforcing any gun grabbing laws you childish clowns want to pass.

What we're seeing on Skin's island is all quite typical. Every time one of these horrible shooting sprees occurs, countless liberals declaim that (1) we need a debate on gun control, and (2) the other side's views are despicable, stupid and unworthy of consideration. The "debate" they say they want is a one-sided one, as it is with virtually every political issue. Of course, they are conducting just such a "debate." What infuriates them is that the other side refuses to cooperate and disappear.
