I hereby title the wholesale slaughter of liberals to be the "Liberty Augmentation Act of 2012."
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

Talk about Debbie Downers. I haven't seen any R's rolling over and selling us out yet. A couple NRA endorsed 'rat senators and usual gun grabbing suspects like Bloomberg, yeah, but no surprise there this close after the election. Maybe NRA will learn a lesson supporting these flip-floppers.

While at the federal level the election outcome was less than desirable things are much better at the state level. Gun rights and CCW have progressed greatly the past 10 years. Poll after poll has showed little support for increased gun control- almost as if the issue was laid to rest after the AWB was put into law and allowed to expire as it was a big waste of time and pretty much didn't change a damn thing. Gun control was a non-issue during the campaign and it's not as though the shootings started Nov. 7.

If 'rats want to burn their political capital fighting this battle let 'em shoot themselves in the feet. I don't think it's going anywhere. At least nothing substantial anyway.

Yeah, we've got staunch Conservatives who will fight for the Second Amendment like John McCain in our corner, what could possibly go wrong?

California State Teachers' Retirement System owns 6% of Bushmaster

Do you know who owns more than a 6% stake in the maker of .223 Bushmaster rifles, like the one used last Friday to murder 20 first graders and seven adults in Newtown, Connecticut? California public schoolteachers.

Damn good investment.

EDIT: Wait, I thought Bushmaster was bought out by another company? Heading to Yahoo. NM, it's now Windham and includes Remington and Bushmaster.

They were purchased by Cerebus, the same company that bought Chrysler.

Do not call it "Gun Control" - that is a loaded term. Instead, call it "Safety Legislation"

Gun Control sounds like Black helicopters and jack boots to too many.

"Safety Legislation" sounds smart, clear and homey.

How about we call it "dead on arrival" or "election game changer" instead?  A lot more accurate than what you're suggesting, opiate freak.

A community may possess all the necessary moral qualifications, in so high a degree, as to be capable of self-government under the most adverse circumstances; while, on the other hand, another may be so sunk in ignorance and vice, as to be incapable of forming a conception of liberty, or of living, even when most favored by circumstances, under any other than an absolute and despotic government.

Too much legal precedence in the wind for them to try and shut down the 2nd Amendment and States that are all too willing to give the Fed Gov the finger won't allow it.  If the libs want to deficit spend political capital they don't have, let them.  Before we exert energy to stop something that may not happen, why not get a better feel of what people (non federal politicians) are saying?  Is the general discussion among actual citizens about taking away more rights or is it "how the frig do we keep the crazies from killing kids"?  From what I have gleaned by listening to what is not said by media news readers, there are more questions being asked about why no one in the building had the ability to properly protect those children than how a mentally disturbed young man got the guns he used.

Even if any agree or disagree with what I say, it doesn't matter.  Get off the computer and join an organization that you think will be the best vehicle to get your voice heard.  Liberals have been drooling in anticipation of an event like this so they can bring back the Brady Bill.  I say we do our damnedest to stop them with a unified voice.
