Barack Obama Claims He’s Not Pro-Abortion Despite Overwhelming Record

Rapid City, SD (LifeNews.com) -- Illinois Sen. Barack Obama campaigned in South Dakota over the weekend in advance of the state’s Democratic primary there on Tuesday. He told the Rapid City Journal newspaper he’s not pro-abortion even though Obama has supported abortion at every turn and voted to force taxpayers to fund it.

“I am not pro-abortion,” he claimed on Sunday.

“I think I've said repeatedly that I think it's a moral issue and a difficult one. What I have said is that ultimately I think women are in a stronger position to make those decisions, in consultation with their pastors and their family and their doctors,” Obama explained.

“But I think we can all agree on the need to reduce unwanted pregnancies that may lead to abortion, and I think we can also agree to increase the use of adoptions where possible,” he added.

Typical pandering politician.   :whatever:    His voting record says it all about his true opinion of abortion (as well as his opinion of taxpayers, who are forced to foot the bill for PlannedParenthood).

If you go to the link, there is even more damning information about both Obama and PlannedParenthood, in regards to supposedly  increasing numbers of adoptions.

Didn't he say he wouldn't want his daughters to be "burdened" with an unplanned pregnancy?  :whatever:

It's the same old liberal line, "I'm not for abortion, but I think women chould be free to choose".  It means "I know I'm wrong, but I support abortion anyway".

That comment made me sick.  Those kids are, what, only 9 and 6 years old?    :mental:

But then again,  neither Barack nor Michelle have a tendency for tact in what they say, and that could very well help the Republicans this year (that's what I hope will happen).

As for his adoption comment, I really doubt Obama, with his idea that taxpayers should fund this organization, will actually try to do anything about it.  Planned Parenthood isn't even TRYING to encourage adoption.  This link has been posted before, I believe, but it's worth posting again.

Planned Parenthood and Adoption (or lack thereof)

I'm all fired up on this issue for many reasons.    With my college course for the summer (Ethics and Morals in the Sciences) , which will be discussing the subject starting tomorrow, I'm getting ready for the impending debate among my classmates.  :fuelfire:

  • One more month, and I can forget about Obama.
Obama loves the kids.

He voted against the Born Alive act.  He doesn't even think a newborn has a right to life.
