Here we go! Note that I had wanted to write the title to the thread myself, I wouldn't change one single letter from the OP's description of being Progressive. Yep, real rational people here; go after the one organization that epitomizes their disdain for individual liberties.

Progressives Plan March On NRA In DC Monday
Source: TPM
CREDO, a progressive grassroots group, is organizing a march on the National Rifle Association's lobbying arm in Washington, D.C. Monday.
"After the shooter Adam Lanza, no one is more to blame for the massacre of 20 first graders and six women at the Sandy Hook Elementary School than the National Rifle Association," CREDO wrote on the Facebook page where the march is being organized. "To stop the senseless killing we must first stop the NRA."

Yes sir, the Big Three words.... "PROGRESSIVES", "MARCH", "ON NRA", all rolled into the title itself. They will probably have a few hundred people, tops, but will probably dominate the news that night, or at least headline the news.
Now for the peanut gallery...

Am I crazy to worry for their safety?
Stand your ground and all.
In Washington DC? Crime capital of the US, despite their DU-inspired gun control fetishes? You tell me!

In DC? There's no Stand Your Ground law there, and gun possession is strictly regulated.
It's a safe, crime-free paradise.
LOL...sounds like a Freeper Troll if you ask me, though no troll posts over 50 grand last I heard

Was this designed as snark?
DC does have strong gun laws, but also high murder rates. Although probably not in the part of town where I assume the NRA HQ is.
Yeppers, it was a snark. Though it may not have been intended as one.
Here's a good one...

How much violent crime is perpetrated by Lobbyists?
Answer: IN the last, oh, 236 years or so, there have been exactly....er, let me see... ok, here it is: Exactly ZERO NRA lobbyists have committed a violent crime. Satisfied?

Directly, not much
I have never heard of a lobbyist going on a shooting spree.
But if you are talking about NRA lobbyists lobbying for policies that allow people like Adam Lanza to get guns, then a lot.
Guess not.

Not true
The reason these children are dead is because the Republicans cut the school budgets across America, that prevents security measures being put in place. This is the extent of security, according to CNN.
"...lockdown drills that trained everyone to stay low and quiet in the event of an emergency. A security system introduced this year required visitors to ring a bell, sign-in and perhaps produce a photo ID. After 9:30 a.m., the doors were locked."
Schools need fencing, cameras, ground sensors, few entry points using turn styles, everybody armed, armed security guards, safe vaults with communications, bullet proof glass & black shade windows.
Do you realize this has been going on for 36 years? Guns? Why not knifes like China, or bombs like here?
I wonder where BantheGOP is in this argument? Yawn.... probably too easy for him...
