I own a gun and have decided to get rid of it

I own a pump action shot gun, I bought for "home defense" six years ago. It sits under my bed, unloaded and with the barrel disconnected, because really, what the **** do I have a gun for? I keep a bottle of mace in my nightstand.

Question being, how does one get rid of a gun? I want it destroyed.

Be sure to put a sign outside your house that it is a gun free zone.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Do you know what they call people who keep disassembled guns under their beds and mace in the nightstand?

"Victims."

Do you know who they call?

Next of kin.

No need to destroy the gun DUmmy, it may be valuable.  You can sell it to anyone you want in most places--but be sure to check local laws first.  And as for what to do with the windfall, well, here you go DUmmy:

Gifts to the United States Government

How do I make a contribution to the U.S. government?

Citizens who wish to make a general donation to the U.S. government may send contributions to a specific account called "Gifts to the United States." This account was established in 1843 to accept gifts, such as bequests, from individuals wishing to express their patriotism to the United States. Money deposited into this account is for general use by the federal government and can be available for budget needs. These contributions are considered an unconditional gift to the government. Financial gifts can be made by check or money order payable to the United States Treasury and mailed to the address below.

Any tax-related questions regarding these contributions should be directed to the Internal Revenue Service at (800) 829-1040.

I gather by that statement, you want it removed from circulation, not just out of your ownership.

Easy!
1.Just plug the end with mud.
2.Carefully aim at a safe target and pull trigger.

OK. Here is the easy way to do it. Load it, put the barrel in your mouth and pull the trigger. All your problems will be solved and the weapon more than likely will sit in a police station evidence room for years before being destroyed.

Joe. If you are reading this, I DON'T BELIEVE YOU OWN A GUN. Please post a photo of your self with your gun, not an old photo...take a new one proving you have a gun.

I challenge you because I think you are AFRAID of guns.
You've never been in a gun store. you've never fired a gun.

I'm calling you a liar.
Worse than that: I'm calling you a hypocrite.

DUmbass. I keep my .45 unsnapped, round up the chamber, full mag, and an additional mag right next to it on my bedside table. It would behoove the criminal to break into your house first.

I have a S&W 469 9mm with 3 magazines fully loaded. When I had my 1911 here with me there where 6 loaded magazines with it and the S&W 645 had two more loaded with .45 ACP.

Wonder if you realizes that, especially if sprays mace indoors at close range he's going to end up getting a dose too. And if the person he's spraying is on drugs or in a state of deep psychosis won't be effected by it. But what the hell? None of these assholes think providing mental health care (SOMEBODY) had to know this kid had issues. Hell, his classmates said they weren't surprised. While anyone can snap for any number of reasons, almost every time one of these thing happen there's a history of mental problems, serious problems.

The proof that the left cares nothing for the mentally ill is that the ACLU and other "rights" groups just successfully prevented CT from enacting legislation that would compel certain people to seek mental health treatment. But, according to the left, it's better people are walking around in pain and misery than get the help that would help them live a better, more fulfilled life.

Dear Joe, I understand how you feel.

4 years ago when we had some horrid crimes within 2 blocks of the house my kids bought me a Rottweiler puppy.

These crimes stopped when a homeowner killed the twerps and for 4 years  since this shit machine has eaten me out of house and home.  Food and Vet expense through the roof.

The mangy mutt insists on going everywhere with me, and there has been a time or two I mistakenly thought someone was going to steal my car but once the dog got in the window the kids just waved at him and walked away,   Must have been dog lovers they just wanted to see the Dog.

There have been some false alarms, idiot dog would start barking at night and we would find ,   It must have been the cats that pushed the screens out of the open windows.  Stupid Dog.

Talk about an idiot dog, when the grandkids play in the yard and a stranger would come up to them all friendly patting them on the head and asking their names, this 120 pound dog would run over and get between the kids and the stranger, this happend twice in one summer and the dog scared these nice old men so bad we never saw them again.

So now that things have been quiet for a few years I see no reason to keep a worthless shit machine.  If I cannot sell him he goes to the pound.

No sense getting Paranoid Joe, a can of Bear spray on the dresser is enough.  Why bother with a dog or gun, both will just get you sued perhaps.  If you hear your wife scream while in the shower,   calmly explain to the Man  or Men that he/ they are in the wrong house.

That's funny, I'm researching my next pistol buy. I have wanted a Walther P38 for a long time. Local gun shop has one but the grip is a bit too fat for my likes. May still get it just for the collection. Man I was disappointed.
