Repeal the 2nd Amendent

The Amendment was written over 200 years ago by privileged white guys that owned slaves who were unwilling to foresee the number of gun violence tragedies our country is facing.

and yes it is important if you are making a argument for or against something to get the information you are using correct!

Let's see 300 years ago would have been 1712, to be over 300 years it would have had to be written earlier than 1712. I guess it sat in Madison's desk until 1787.

4. Agree. Tough restrictions need to be imposed through Courts and Congress. More importantly
we need to change our view of guns and those who love/abuse them. 

Hollywood first. Biggest enabler the world has ever seen.

10. Why don't we look to other modern constitutional democracies to see how they

handle gun ownership/rights and model ours accordingly? Our second amendment is incredibly anachronistic and inconsistent with our modern society's needs in order to function properly. Obvously something is terribly wrong when you have a society that has to put up with mass murders of its citizens in the name of a "right" of the "people." Plus, it doesn't make sense.

Why don't you look to other modern constitutional democracies to see how they handle gun ownership and then move to one that you find more to your liking, CTyankee?

No need.  Just look at Chicago, Detroit, L.A., NYC, Portland, Connecticut, and other blue-run shitholes that have just such restrictions, and see how they are doing.  Much easier than having "Courts and Congress" do it.

More importantly we need to change our view of guns and those who love/abuse them.

THONOTOSASSA, Fla. –  A Tampa-Bay area man who authorities say attacked his neighbor with a hammer has been charged with second degree murder with a weapon.

A Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office press release says 28-year-old Jarrett Kyle Brooks was booked into jail late Saturday. It was not immediately known if he has an attorney.

Authorities say Brooks approached Jonathan Acree from behind at a Thonotosassa trailer park, striking him in the head and neck multiple times with a hammer.

Acree was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The statistic is one every 28-30 minutes. 2 people die every hour. On average, 48 people die everyday. On holidays such as New Years, or Christmas, the average goes up to almost double that. In Texas, the record stands around 170 people in a single 24 hour period on a weekend.
