Man Stabs 22 Children at Chinese Elementary School

December 14, 2012

Chinese state media say a man stabbed 22 children and an adult at an elementary school in central China on Friday.

In March 2010, a man described as an unemployed middle-aged doctor killed eight children with a knife at a school in the southern city of Nanping.

Some observers say the attacks have highlighted a weakness in the Chinese medical system's ability to diagnose and treat psychiatric illnesses, which have been on the rise as many are unable to cope with the rapid pace of social change.

Then it's time to BAN the KNIVES!!!!

Oh wait, how many people die in car accidents every year...
Then it is time to BAN the CARS too!!!

Ban the pencils in schools to, why, because then darn things can't get a right answer on any of the tests, so they must be faulty.. it can't be because the students are dumb....

What the hell happened to the Here's you sign that read "STUPID" for these idiots that want more gun control when ever something like this happens? If the adults had been armed at the school things might not have ended so badly.
A liberal who is mugged by reality becomes conservative.

How about we ban jerk offs that go around hanging with people that are in jail for soliciting under age girls and write books with them first.

The bodies aren't even cold and he's trying to politicize the situation.  What a jerk!

The guy that killed his father in Wyoming did it with an arrow.

What we need is responsible, armed teachers and officials in our schools.

Dont want to get into this right now. I'm the dad of two elementary students.

Guns are illegal in school zones. How did that law help?

**** you Will Pitt. Can you let the bodies cool before you start your inane ****ing babbling? Find someone willing to have a kid with you. Have a kid. Then shut the **** up for a day or two.

All day I kept thinking if any of those adults he encountered before he got to the kindergarteners were carrying he never would've gotten there. I'd have absolutely no problem dropping that asshole right where he was. Gun free zones insure only those who don't care about the rule of law have guns.

When I heard about this, my first thought was where was the security officer for this school?

When I heard about the shooter and his background, that he was the product of a broken home, and son to a teacher, I knew he was the result of liberal policies and upbringing.

You can't blame this on the gun, put the blame squarely where it belongs:  On Liberalism!

Same here. The Thurston HS shooting that happened here a long while ago (wasn't babies like this one) was similar. Both parents were teachers. Their son had bipolar depression. His pdoc suggested he be taken out of school & be homeschooled. Took his meds regularly and just thrived in that environment. Unfortunately, being public school teachers, as soon as the kid started to show positive improvement they shoved his ass back into the cesspool. Sorry to all of you who send your kids to liberal indoctrination institutions but IMO they really are the armpit of the country.

My nana's generation, they carried rifles to school when they were going hunting on the way home. Now we send kids into "gun free zones" so that some insane creep can use them as ducks in a shooting gallery while they're being taught to talk their way through whatever problem they're having with another person...yeah that'll work with a homicidal maniac.

A lot of us did that when I was in high school.

Of course, our schools were 0bamaite-free zones, and addled kids were institutionalized.

I got really drunk last night so I was on an equal mental footing as your typical DUmbshit. It occurred to me that the leftists should look at this like they do the muslim problem. Remember that we can't punish the muslims because that will just make them madder at us. Well, if you punish the gun owners won't that make us madder at leftists? By their own (lack of) logic shouldn't they be extra nice to gun owners so we do not get mad and start going murderous rampages like the muzzies?

I guess this is just another sign of mental illness of the left. Much like how taxing cigarettes and sodas will lower their consumption but taxing investments will make people invest more.

Leftism=Mental Disease

It. Is. That. Simple.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

I'm fed-up with the left using every tragedy to further their causes.

No, we don't have a gun problem in the US, we have an illegal gun problem in the US, and you know what we also have a lack of in the schools in the US? we have a lack of God! the more God is pushed away the more evil our society is becoming. And I'll also add the way we deal with mental illness is ridiculous, we protect the rights of those who are mentally ill instead of protecting the innocent victims of them.

Yeah I'm pissed off!

Well, this article suggests a place to put some blame:

Obama administration, Congress quietly let school security funds lapse

Before Connecticut tragedy, administration eliminated emergency preparedness program, let school violence prevention programs lapse

UPDATED 23:43 PM EST, DECEMBER 14, 2012 | BY JOHN SOLOMON AND KIMBERLY DVORAK

Beneath the expressions of grief, sorrow and disbelief over the Connecticut school massacre lies an uneasy truth in Washington: over the last few years the Obama administration and Congress quietly let federal funding for several key school security programs lapse in the name of budget savings.

Government officials told the Washington Guardian on Friday night that two Justice Department programs that had provided more than $200 million to schools for training, security equipment and police resources over the last decade weren't renewed in 2011 and 2012, and that a separate program that provided $800 million to put police officers inside the schools was ended a few years earlier.

Meanwhile, the administration eliminated funding in 2011-12 for a separate Education Department program that gave money to schools to prepare for mass tragedies, the officials said.

A nationally recognized school security expert said those funds had been critical for years in helping schools continue to enhance protections against growing threats of violence. But they simply dried up with little notice as the Columbine and Virginia Tech school shooting tragedies faded from memory and many Americans and political leaders had their attentions diverted to elections, a weak economy and overseas dramas.

“I was baffled to see funds and programs cut in these areas,” said Kenneth Trump, the president of the National School Safety and Security Services firm that helps school districts and policymakers improve protections for teachers and students. “Our political and policy leaders need to walk the walk, not just talk the talk about being concerned about school safety.

There's a report on Drudge that says the DoJ and the WH let's the funds for stuff like school security run out and chose not to renew them in the budget almost two years ago.

I went to high school at a country school in Nebraska. Not only did we keep rifles and shotguns in our vehicles, we had a PE class where we shot trap! We even had a trapshooting team. I made a walnut stock and fore end for an Ithaca shotgun in my junior year wood shop class.

The county 4-H shooting team had a range out past the practice field, shot .22s there all summer long.

I have a correlation of 1 with mass killings and democrat presidents.

UT tower shooting 8/1/1966 LBJ democrat president
OKC Murrah bombing 4/19/1995 Clinton democrat president
Littleton Columbine shooting 4/20/1999 Clinton democrat president
Virginia Teck shooting 4/16/2009 0bama democrat president
Fort Hood shooting 11/5/2009 0bama democrat president
Newtown Elementary School shooting12/14/2012 0bama democrat president

Therefore I propose that we outlaw democrat presidents.

Having said that just to illustrate DUche absurdity, my heart goes out to all the parents and relatives. I can't imagine their loss.
While I agree with your point one of your dates are a little off. The VA Tech shooting was in 2007. But you can also add the Branch Davidian bungle during Clinton's presidency where Janet Reno let all those children die.
