Well, just finished filing, and the greed needs to stop What greed are you referring to?
People making nine bucks an hour, even when working full time, for a family of four, are under federal poverty guidelines. It really needs to stop. Dog whistle in support of abortion?

Yup, they are offered healthcare, but two thou a year is beyond reach for these workers Thank obamacare.

Really, the greed needs to stop. Is that why you only submit to nonpaying, internet blogs?
Of course, the upper management type told me, "if they don't like it they can go get a job somewhere else, or start a business" If willing to work, why not?

Yup, he admitted to being a libertarian, but irony meter is broken. He actually said that people should not be dependent on corporations...all for themselves and all that. Care to guess where he works at? The same hospital these low paid workers are picketing.  And that proves what, exactly?

2. I just finished writing two stories None of which will be published in a real news article.

The two papers have radically different styles. One, AP, just the facts, the other allows more editorial views. "Other" being code for on-line blog.

What is shocking is media was there last time...today I even got some breaking news and the exclusive. I also did a lot of the interviews in Spanish. In other words, not crunchy.

But that gentleman, there is also an aspect of undertone racism. BS We have a lot of that. But I did the math, gross pay is 17,000 and change. Poverty line for a four person family is 23,050. Advise them to move back south, then go through channels to become legal.

And what they do is back breaking...and a good functioning hospital depends on them.  Six hundred pound bed pans.

That they qualify for Cal-Fresh. I wish I had the info on me on how to qualify and all that. How's that Cali budget doing, gNads?

We live in a myth. The best part is that idiot would take EBT in a NY second. Ya, right.

Greed, this needs to stop...and the irony is, living wages laws would make EBT almost not needed. If twits like you stop enabling illegals, that might just come about.

edit to mention.
There are two replies now, on the "Breaking News San Diego thread.

You know, the oblate spheroid is the best example of why things such as law-enforcement scanners should be illegal for civilians to have.  It's not any of her business.

I know mine's a minority opinion, but how would the primitives like it--if they have a job--if they were constantly being watched by people who have no stake in them doing their job?

The oblate spheroid's just a snoop, a yenta, a busybody.

LOL...I have a scanner; but it is no longer any good because local police went digital. Mine is analog. And, yes, I had it to be nosy I will admit. A replacement digital scanner is over 300.00 (last time I checked), so I'm no longer being nosy.

A few things I did hear on the scanner. A few years ago, the local sugar mill blew up (it made national news). I heard the call on the scanner for all available ambulances and fire units an hour before the news broke in with the story. I called people I knew that worked there to make sure they were okay. Thank goodness they were off that night.

But that's not the same as with the oblate spheroid, so don't be apologetic about it.

The oblate spheroid has all these toys and gizmos simply because she has an obsessive compulsion to "be the first to know," to "be on the inside of things."

She's just a nosy old busybody, trying to get the lowdown on things that aren't any concern of hers.

By the way, "snoop" in Dutch means "to eat on the sly," for whatever that's worth, and that fits the oblate spheroid to a "t" too.

I wonder how Pam Dawson and Anne Pritchett would feel if we stuck microphones in their classrooms so we could listen to them teach.  They probably wouldn't like it too much, especially considering how much stink the teachers unions here raised to keep evaluation scores private.

I was actually scheduled to do some work for someone that was supposedly injured in that explosion. I was dealing with a third party so I never had contact with the individual, but if I understood correctly, they were going to pay me with part of their settlement money. The deal between the individual and the third party went south before the work began though.
