In all seriouosness: this is a despicable crime by a despicable person. Supposedly your SO is that special someone you love above all others. They are the one you to whom you reveal your intimate side. You ask them to trust you. You promise to be there for them regardless of life's circumstances.
To take that love and affection and smash it face-first against a garbage can...
There's no greater metaphor for the soul of the man that would do such a thing. But this wasn't just a metaphor; it was a woman who could not compete physically with her attacker.
And then Rep. Moran's office is as ball-less and cowardly as his son. He's making excuses and telling us to ignore the girl with the swollen face.
And DU, that can gin-up outrage in a moment's notice over the greatest trivialities will let this die the death of being ignored. Women, like minorities, are simply tools. They can be beaten, raped and even drowned so long as their abuser/killer supports free birth control.
But people who say, "Be strong enough to buy your own damned birth control, you slut." are the only ones accused of waging a war on women.
