I never did row over and read that steaming pile of idiocy, but just reading the snippets here made my head explode. 

The articles about this use words such as "denounce" and "dismay."  This says to me that there is very little that anyone can do, including a bunch of DUmb****s in an echo chamber, and especially BantheGOP, who rails against this sort of thing all the time.  Impotent rage. 

When their ravings over there turned to "we've been propping them up for years!!!!"  that's when the headache started.

There used to be a few countries that kept banking secrets--but the patriot act has ended that.

I know this for a fact--I used to have money in a Grand Cayman bank (I lived there for a while). IRS was well aware of the fact--and I had to report the meager bit of interest income I got.

The reason people bank overseas post-patriot act is--1) in some countries your money is backed by gold so it is more stable 2) higher interest rates 3) diversification

There is not even passport control between most countries.

The 75% tax rate will not last long. Soon enough there will be nobody in that tax bracket to collect it from.

Until we brought in the 50% rate we were the preferred destination for Frenchies avoiding their own taxes - at the last election both candidates for the French presidency campaigned in London, as it's now one of the largest French cities. Of course, that's not why the high rates are in place - the Conservatives in government here want to get rid of the 50% rate, and point out that it's not raising revenue...but the left just rant and rave about tax cuts for the rich (Laffer curves being beyond their comprehension). The tax rates - whether from French, British, or (presently aspirational) American leftists - are not about raising revenue they're about attacking the rich.

Somalia might be a good place for them. I don't know if they even have a tax system in place.
