Guess you could say the Michigan Republicans took a page from the US Democratic Congress a couple of years ago, and crammed it down their throats since the republicans hold both houses.  Whats the old saying, 'turn abouts fair play'.

2 small victories today, this and the gun ruling in Illinois.
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

LANSING, Mich. - Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder has signed right-to-work legislation, dealing a devastating and once-unthinkable defeat to organized labor in a state that has been a cradle of the movement for generations.

He put his signatures on the bills Tuesday, hours after the state House passed the measures as the chants of thousands of angry pro-union protesters filled the Capitol.

Snyder says a failed ballot proposal to enshrine collective bargaining rights in the constitution triggered the discussion that led to the passage and signing of right-to-work.

During a news conference, he called the protests "an exercise in democracy."

THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS UPDATE.

This is what happens when you push to far and expect the taxpayer to just keep giving and giving.

I don't understand why the Dems and Unions are so upset. It's not like the bill outlawed the unions or collective bargaining. It just gives workers a CHOICE (are they not pro-choice?). My only guess is that the unions know they will lose "income" by fewer people being forced to pay dues.
When Harry Truman was President of the United States, he had a sign on his desk in the White House that said: "The buck stops here." If Barack Obama had a sign on his desk, it would say: "The buck stops with Bush." - Thomas Sowell

The fear of truth, and standard lying, going on in my opinion, with the thugs in Lansing.  I'm afraid it will get worse, based on their track record.  As some here know I'm from Michigan - owed a business there and had to compete with those making union wages, so when the opportunity came I moved to Florida, a RTW state.  While there, the 'major' company my wife worked for voted in the union for promised benefits - after one year and no benefits increase, just heavy union dues, the employees voted the union out.  What is going on right now with the thug unions in Michigan is standard operating procedure - sure glad I don't live there anymore.

you would think that if the unions were all that thugs try to make it out to be that people would be delighted to pay their dues whether they were coerced, I mean forced to or not.
