I've been to a couple of live shows they've done here in red state hell.
They did "Manos - Hands of Fate" and "Reefer Madness", and both were hilarious.
Reefer Madness was and is hysterical enough on its own, with the Botts adding their comments I would need Depends ,a whole box of them.
The first time I saw in real life the premise of an audience chiming in on a movie was in the 1960 at a movie on base, at first it was annoying for me but soon the Sailors became so funny, I as a teenager begin to find that those irreverent and to me at the time shocking comments were more fun then a dull civilian movie theater.
No where to go but UP when The Rockey Horror Picture Show came to the stage and my friends that had seen this play many times before outfitted me with 6 cans of Vienna Sausages and taught me ahead of time to dance the Time Wape, -----Not knowing or expecting to see CAMP at its finest, finding out why I had Sausages in my purse and watching as the whole audience jumped into the isles to dance along with the Time Wape truly a night of insanity to allways remember.
Only thing in later years as a Grandmother to come close was taking a Granddaughter and her mother after they moved up North to a Yankee Roller Skating Rink... After about half an hour the music moved on to the Chicken Dance. Grandpa went out to join them and the child got a bear hug on her Mother and was screaming " Mom what are they doing " ? Daughter had no idea or did I as I had just come home myself a year earlier.
After the music changed Grandpa came back to find wife, stepdaughter and step grandchild all sitting with tears running down our faces from laughter. He had no idea that this was a Yankee dance on and off skates and how we had managed to live so long and never seen it or done that dance before.
Simple pleasures that cost little but give us a life time of Memories.
