1. I had it one time in Tahiti as part of a Luau. Prepared traditionally on hot coals and buried. It was one of the grossest things I've ever tasted but the Polynesians love it, so each his own I guess. Never had any experience preparing it.

Breadfruit. Disgusting stuff.

Cutting down the trees makes for a good way to gum up your chainsaw.

There is however, some limited entertainment value in sitting back at 300 yards and popping the fruit with a large rifle.

I was going to say I had raisen bread a few times, I assumed breadfruit was like that, but it isn't.

Pretty bland and starchy. Put it this way, the things are all over the island, but I never saw anyone eating them.
