Wow you are either lying or need to be turned into the state medical (or whatever) board. Certain medications like thyroid meds should really never be played with. I would always take the name brand so I didn't have to worry about the
pharmacy changing suppliers and my medication being all screwed up. Not to mention that you are denying your patients medications that are still owned by the company that came up with them that could help. That is malpractice in my book as well as the fact that you refuse to support those who are coming up with life saving medication. How do you think that happens? You must have failed basic pharmacology.
Dummies hate those American jobs that BIG PHARMA creates! R & D is expensive. They seem to forget that in order for a drug to be available as a generic it first must be INVENTED by BIG PHARM.....

Naturally, when a popular medication like Plavix becomes available in generic, which offeres a lower insurance copay, the insurnace mandates generic unless the doctor writes DAW on the Rx or the patient requests brand name only.
It really does not matter what the doctor writes, if the patient wants "brand name only" and their insurance will pay for it, or they are willing to pay cash the patient can request "brand only."
