As an illegal immigrant, Jorge Mariscal waited eight years for a kidney transplant he feared would never come.

His persistence paid off Thursday when he underwent the procedure at Loyola University Medical Center.

After years of uncertainties, Mariscal said he's excited about his future and grateful for the help he received. But he remains frustrated with a health care system that he worries might leave out an untold number of illegal immigrants in need of lifesaving treatments.

He is illegal,been here for it sounds like 8 years, gets a free kidney transplant, bitches about not getting enough help to pay for the anti-rejection drugs and that other illegals have trouble getting treatment in our healt care system...you heard the old saying you give them an inch and they will take a mile....I think it just might fit here.

It's assholes like this clogging up the system and keeping my brother, an American citizen BY BIRTH, from getting this done. To think that this jerk continues to whine about health care being a "right" and then finds yet more handouts including benefit concerts and then the surgery itself is amazing in its arrogance and narcissism. I think he's been watching Barry's example.

Indeed it is. Most life sentences are for "Natural Life".....if your liver gives out, to me that's your "natural life".
