Obamacare, the best revenge

They (meaning the right wing repugnants) tried to hang the ACA on Obama. They could not understand that Americans want and need healthcare.
They used the term Obamacare as an invective.
But instead they have memorialized his name and given him an historical legacy.
Most know it was LBJ who gave us Medicare and FDR gave us Social Security.
But future generations will have no doubt who started us down the road to Universal Health Care.
Thanks GOP.

1. I wouldn't stake too much on that

It could have been called HeritageCare, GingrichCare, DoleCare, or RomneyCare just as validly.

You seem to forget that the right realized what a dumb idea it was and stopped pushing the mandate idea. It was then picked up by the democrats which proved what a horrible idea it was to begin with. If democrats like an idea it is a bad idea.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

The democrats refused to acknowledge the people did not and do not want Obamacare, there are dozens of polls showing very few want it.

I am so sick of everything being racist. I wish the people calling everyone a racist would ask themselves if the same thing were said of Bush would it be racist.

We just had an election.  Unfortunately, the people who voted for revenge won and those that voted out of love for their country lost.
Quote
“But our big dreams will not be satisfied with the small agenda that’s already failed us,” Romney continued.  “And today — did you see what President Obama said today? He asked his supporters to vote for revenge — for revenge.”

The audience seemed genuinely stunned, taking in its collective breath.

“Instead, I ask the American people to vote for love of country,” Romney said, drawing the longest and loudest applause of the night.

Tough. Elections have consequences, the ones in 2008 and 2012 redefine racist as any criticism of Obama's actions and/or policies.

Obamacare won't save any of them, but it will certainly overhaul medical care in the US...by closing a huge number of small hospitals and clinics and forcing many people to travel far more miles for everything from routine to emergency health care.  (and all those people will be burning gas and creating Glowball Climate Change with every trip.)

It will also overhaul our tax code by adding hundreds of new taxes, many of them actually geared toward causing health care costs to RISE.  Just as government policies for decades now have generally done almost nothing for actual patient safety, but have cause massive cost increases for medical facilities.

Wasn't Obamacare designed to originally collect premiums for 10 years but only cover 6 years?  My understanding is that they will collect for four years up front before any benefits are paid out, or do I have that wrong?

There was not one single thing in the 3000 pages of the largest tax hike and growth in government bill in history about improving health. In fact much of the biggest tax increase bill that actually harms Americans health care. Can't wait to see how the DUches blame the republicans for 13-15 month waits to see specialists or get operations. When the historic tax hike bill truly starts to ruin lives and kill people it will be an all republican bill.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

At first, I didn't know if the headline was written by us, or the DUmmies.

Somehow, in the runup to the election, something was planted in the idiot electorate's tiny brains that Obamacare, like an Obamaphone, is free.

Oh, it's going to be revenge all right.  Just not in the way you're thinking, DUmb****s.

Oh, and here's the little dictator again, and once again, nobody replies to him and he kills the thread:

13. We need to do a few things to make it work

We need to do a few things to ensure Obamacare works.

(Note: I use "Obamacare" because President Obama himself has endorsed its usage in his last debate.)

1. Make it difficult for businesses to promote their private plans. Create a federal excise fee on private medical insurance and even "out of pocket" expenses if they don't transfer coverage to single-payer. ONLY when everyone has single-payer can we reap the benefits of non-competition greed.

2. Make it difficult for businesses to hire part time workers over full time (30 hours or more) employees. I suggest lowering the workweek to four days a week at 8 hours to maximize the effectiveness of Obamacare. Make it a penalty, equal to or more than the cost of paying the employee Obamacare premium.

3. If a business has to hire part-time, make sure they go through certified temp agencies that pay the Obamacare premium for everyone of their workers, and incorporate it into the temp pay fees.

Once we do these simple, but necessarily across-the-board actions, will Obamacare be a success. From there, we can enact laws that mandate people's activities to ensure they keep down health care costs, such as additional food regulations, sugar item penalties, etc.

What benefits would those be?

Doctors being underpaid so they quit, and no one wants to be a doctor anymore?

Standing outside in the cold or heat because the waiting room of the ER is packed full ?

Babies and the elderly being left to die because they are non-productive?

Speaking of non-productive, lots of DUmmies will be left to die. So , maybe there is one benefit after all.

Obama told Romney he “liked” the name Obamacare and later said he’d “become fond of this term ‘Obamacare.’ ”

He embraced the terms at least three times during the debate, using it nearly every time he talked legislation. This was a clear shift from the administration’s previous strategy of calling the legislation “healthcare reform” or it’s by it’s actual names – the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, or “the Affordable Care Act” for short.

“And let me tell you exactly what Obamacare did. Number one, if you’ve got health insurance it doesn’t mean a government takeover,” Obama claimed. “You keep your own insurance.  You keep your own doctor. But it does say insurance companies can’t jerk you around.”
