Who will Obama then appoint as "Minister of Propaganda"?
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin

I'm not sure I understand why any left wing organization would fear this as it seems the site you linked to does.

Say what??!?!?!?

The link you provided is to a left wing website, if I am wrong about that I invite you to straighten me out.

The post that you linked to seems to describe the frightening possibility of de-regulating the airways to the point that an organization such as moveon.org could snap it all up and be lefty radio 24/7.

I don't see why they would be afraid of that.

But that's not the point, the left whines all the time about not having a voice in the media.

If the post you linked to has any truth to it, and I am not saying doesn't, it would seem to be great opportunity to enhance that voice.

Yet they seem to fear it. Maybe it's because of the fate of AirAmerica and Current. I don't know, it just seems confusing to me.

I don't think that site is so much a leftist site as it is one that is trying to make it better for blacks.

Susan Rice is a woman of ghastly accomplishments: suppressor of the facts on genocide in Congo, and chief U.S. warmonger in Africa. Yet African American politicians rush to her defense, as a role model for young Blacks, especially

Quote
by Randy Shields
The “Obama Phenomenon” is a world-class consciousness-destroyer, guaranteed to burn a hole in your soul. Millions of once-progressive minds have fallen victim to the scourge. “Obama users have turned on friends and colleagues who kept their principles regardless of which capitalist flunky commits the crimes.”

Quote
by BAR editor and senior columnist Margaret Kimberley
The top Democrat and Republican have clashed face-to-face three times – and emerged far more alike than different. “Given this degree of collusion, why would it be so terrible if Obama lost?” The presidential electoral exercise looks more like an exorcism in which both parties are the Devil.

Quote
by Harold Green
African Americans have lost a great deal in the last four years: more Black household wealth has vanished than at any time in history, for example. Even more disastrously, Black America may have lost its moral and political moorings. “With Barack Obama at the helm, we seem not to be concerned about continuing our legacy of resistance and fighting for justice.” We risk becoming complicit in the most heinous crimes against humanity.

They sound more like Black Liberation stuff than left wing liberal.  They don't sound too thrilled with Obama.

Isn't that his Press Secretary?

Of course you are right Thundley4.

I guess I was just hoping that boldfighter would make that point.

I think the left sees what happened with media after the 96 Telecom Act -- the growth of Fox and Clear Channel which have good commentators they see as the enemy like Rush, Hannity, Beck, et al....
