Any Republican who thinks raising taxes is the answer to what ails America, should be run out of town on a rail. (It's the spending)

I tend to agree with Thor. Brad Thor, that is.
Our people look for a cause to believe in. Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people?***Ronald Reagan

They can do what they want.  I'm starting a new party.  To hell with the Republicans.

The title of the article and what Thor said are 2 different things. I dont think Thor's comments mean anything since I havent heard a single republican say that raising taxes will fix any of the problems we have in the country. But if as the title suggests that people want to run out of town any republican who raises taxes then that is every republican. The compromisers want to use the tax raises for the top tax bracket as a bargaining chip for reduced spending and the hardliners want to hit the fiscal cliff  raise taxes on everyone and hope the blame lands on the democrats. Either way tax increases are coming.
Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism. -Kenny Powers

Can't we just tax Marxist millionaires at 200% of everything?

He's right.

These people are caving on taxes before Obama and the Dems have even said what they're willing to do.

I heard Obama saying that we need to raise taxes on the "rich" right now, but that we can wait until next year to figure out where to make the cuts.  That means the cuts would never happen.

Brad Thor is an author. He writes action/spy books. I love his books.
When Harry Truman was President of the United States, he had a sign on his desk in the White House that said: "The buck stops here." If Barack Obama had a sign on his desk, it would say: "The buck stops with Bush." - Thomas Sowell

Love his books. He's not afraid to write about evil terrorists. I also have to agree about the taxes. Kinda over the infighting though.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

I heard Obama saying that we need to raise taxes on the "rich" right now, but that we can wait until next year to figure out where to make the cuts.  That means the cuts would never happen.

Those that don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Reagan agreed to tax increases in his first term...based on the promise from O'Neill and the dems that for every $1 in tax increases...there would be $2 in budget cuts.

Same kind of deal with the 1986 amnesty bill.  Dems promised to get money for border security if Reagan signed this bill.

Bush 41 and his "read my lips" pledge...he got suckeerd on that the same way reagan did in in '82 (see above)

And here they come again saying just increase the taxes and we'll talk about cuts later...because they know that Republicans have a history for falling for Democrts lies and broken promises.

The libs/dems of today are the Quislings of former years. The cowards who would vote a fraud into office in exchange for handouts from the devil.
