Mr. Smith Goes to the Grocery Store
« on: November 23, 2012, 01:03:16 PM »
Oy vey, the DUmp is boring today.  But, our old pal RSmithnumbers fashioned a post of sorts, with the same comical illiteracy we've come to know and love:

So I saw the Mayor of My City Today

..... at the grocery store.. my wife forgot pineapple so I had to go and get it. The Mayor of the city I just moved in to who I know only by seeing his picture was checking and we started a conversation as he finished up he said "you have a happy thanksgiving" I returned the greeting saying YES I am thankful and in all due reality with the outcome nationally you probably are to...

He winked and said for the most part yes..

The community is depressed by conservative politics as the city council is all red and I am thinking of running as a progressive Democrat with the platform of finding new industry... The town lost its timber industry and the farmers are tearing up their fields to plant grapes which will take several years to reap a profit. There are several abandoned buildings that could be transitioned in to lite manufacturing or even a call center..... The council has no policy to regrow the city which is about 7000pop.

Anyhow I hope this finds you all thankful this day.

"in all due reality..."   ::)

I hope he runs!  DUmp campaigns are a hoot!

Not much action, but per policy, here's the link.  Link

Most communities are depressed because of liberal tax and spend policies that give huge payouts to unions.

His wife can write his campaign literature.  It should read like a cover letter.    :lmao:

Does he think his Mayor is royalty ?  I'm just asking because I see the Mayor in my town all the time.  I don't get all gushy over him.  I don't act the ass either.   :-)

Update: I Was Elected Mayor!
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

He should consult with the expert in running progressive city council campaigns, Omaha Steve. Of course, with over 6,500 posts we will most probably be able to datamine enough material to assist him in the same manner as we did ol' Steve, though "www.electrsmith6621.com" is a bit confusing. Hopefully our stable of worth political consultants will come through in the clutch.

I met the previous mayor here and his daughter.

She's smokin' hot.

It would be great to have DUmmy rsmithnumbers running for office!

Can you imagine the campaign literature he could write?

After his incredible resume cover letter consigned his wife to unemployment for the rest of her life, the man is a DUmp legend.

I don't know if he's DUmber than the Omaha Neckbeard, but it's a close race.

I'm sure a few decent and civilized people could help out with his campaign.

They don't exist. If he was being nice, you have something he wants.
Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

He wants the vote.
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Kind of an oxymoron. Progressive looking for new industry? that means corporations, and they are eeeeeevil.
How would a progressive entice new industry?

"Come to my town and I'll raise your taxes. and then I'll unionize all your employees and do a Hostess Twinkie job on you!"

Progressives have a poor record keeping jobs in town. Look at how wonderful Detroit is.

The mayor in a town or city of 7,000?   Yeah, he better see him everywhere.
