xPost from V&M: Stuart Varney and I discuss the merits of a Carbon Tax on Fox News' Your World

Stuart Varney and I discuss the merits of a Carbon Tax. While a Carbon Tax is normally a regressive tax, can it be structured in a way that doesn't hurt the poor and middle class?

I actually went and watched the video. The guy is indeed a true DUmmie, but one thing he said causes me some concern. He said that some New Yorkers are still suffering from Sandy. I thought Bronco Bama went down there, laid his healing hands on the land, and made everything alright.

He tried but, Bush had screwed it up so bad that not even he could fix it.

Yeah, I got confused myself.

Last week, I thought everything had returned to normal in the Sandy-struck area; that everything was all cleaned up, that everything's back in order, that people there had already forgotten about it.

That's the impression I got from the "mainstream" media at least.

Well you know Fox News hates our brilliant young wonderful president so they are making up lies about people suffering.  :-)

A summary of what the moonbat said on the teevee for those of you who can't access the video.

He claims that we need a carbon tax, and that we should give the poor and the middle class a payroll tax rebate so they can pay for the additional tax. he also claims that the GOP is going to be the ones to do this tax as an alternative to raising income taxes.

So this pinhead wants the "poor" to pay nothing into Social Security during their working lives yet receive full benefits upon retirement.  And how is that not the very definition of welfare?

No wonder SS is so screwed up.

is a real issue. It's really shocking to me. If you dont believe climate change is real, then you would think that this is all about grabbing more revenue and that is where they are coming from about this.

I know it's shocking that anyone could have a different view than yours.
There has been no warming for 15 years now, but because the weather was different this year than last year that proves that climate change is occurring. Never mind all the times that the climate has changed throughout the Earth's history, if there is any change it has to be because of carbon and the only way to stop it is to tax the hell out of everyone.  :mental:

They won't be happy until we all are poverty stricken and sitting in the dark, only then they will realize that they too are just as poor and in the dark, and they will be the ones crying the loudest about the situation that they created.

I actually saw this as it happened.  I was kinda surprised that Varney would have him on, but I felt that Varney was probably told by Cavuto, "Have this idiot on, and just let him go.  He'll sound like he's got two brain cells, each waving goodbye to the other.  All you have to do is ask a leading question or two."

If Bush were still in office, it would still be the top story of the day and plastered all over every newspaper from Long Island to Orange County.

There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site

I really don't know, GOBUCKS.  What do you think?  The area currently looks like it's become hidebound by itself and its own bureaucracies, but that's just my impression.
