Same here, only my brothers made me quit. I only played in the neighborhood games- parochial schools didn't allow girls to play tackle at all & there were no mixed sports either.

but I have to say, I disagree a lot with the OP and how she handles herself Sometimes, how down the nose she looks on people who disagree with her (maybe she doesn't mean it but her words sure do communicate that I think we can agree) and the obvious need for conflict... well, you know the drill, same old.

14. Agreed. Her OP did not prevent me from donating when my star expired yesterday. She was expressing an opinion and the alert simply proved her claims. She IS a target still of a group, diminished thankfully, as she claims.

There is precedent here in Meta in calling out members as those threads were allowed to stand. Meta is the place to bitch about DU.

Anyone remember the episode of NewsRadio with James Caan as a guest star. I have the feeling that most normal people who observe nadin in real life have much the same reaction that James Caan had toward Matthew (Andy Dick).

16. You have so many options not to have to bother with someone who clearly annoys so much. You can put them on ignore, you can thrash their threads, you can also simply ignore them without bothering with all of that.

There are people who I find far more annoying than you apparently find Nadin. The solution is for me to ignore them, if they were to bother me to the point where they affect my participation here. If I choose not to, that is on me, not them.

So should we tolerate bully behavior on the guise of whatever you wrote? Because that is what you are defending.

This is the relevant part.

So yes the bullying started early, like in Kindergarten. Over the years, it evolved into actual physical assault. Yet, according to school administration, and others, like here. I was the one who brought this on because I could not play well with others. Well the fact that I was different, due to knee surgeries led to a lot of that, and there is plenty of psychology on this.

I have a wild theory or two about Nads.   NO.1====She is a brilliant mole, sees herself as a double agent of sorts [ another carear ]     No.2=====  She has never been very good at anything she does, years of living alone while husband was at sea and HIM getting all the praise.   I bet you her own family treated her as if nothing she did was good enough for them.  Perhaps they felt she had married beneath her.  OR perhaps it it is hubby's family that think he married way beneath himself.  

What ever, I have seen woman like her that were insufferable, so full of hate and envy, worse were the COB's wives, darn now the  "Do you know who I am" ???   Fortunately I never had to deal with those crazy women, the COB's wives on the boats my hubby rode were absolutely wonderful.  All too willing to get up in the middle of the night when they received a distress call from a crew mans wife.

The other choice, of course won't happen, is that enough others join up and it affects the balance sheet. I expect this to remain purely symbolic, so be it.

Of course, I forgot, there is another choice, stop pretending this place has community standards, that is closer to reality.
