"Iraq will invite (Arab) ministers to use the weapon of oil, with the aim of asserting real pressure on the United States and whoever stands with Israel," Qais al-Azzawy told reporters in Cairo on Friday.

"The economic weapon is the strongest one to be put into effect now, to assure of standing by the Palestinian people, in light of there being no military power that can stand in the face of Israel at the present time,” he added.

Hi,

Boy do I hope they do that.  It will in turn force Obama to open up domestic drilling and the Keystone pipeline.  The US has more hydrocarbons than the Saudis do and can become net exporters if BO would get off his ass and turn things around.

Plese middle east, cut off all our oil, it will force some action on our domestic front.

Just asking here but it seems I heard one time that the USA had the majority of the oil refineries in the world...maybe we could start an embargo against all who attack Israel with refined gas?

Why would you think otherwise? These heathens hate America. We can never do nation building in these two countries that we spilled blood and treasure in. I saw the hand writing on the wall a year or so ago when these two countries put out bids for oil leases. US companies should have been given them on a silver platter. But no, the greedy bastards allowed commie countries to bid on them. Very few US companies bid  because it was a break even proposition; the winning bid was 2 to 3 dollars a barrel for oil that is recovered and not a nickel for salaries, equipment, materials and research. Drill a dry hole and it's just tough shit. The countries that got these leases figure that they will get more favorable terms when the next round of leases takes place. Good luck with that.

If Iraq wants to boycott, we should threathen to blow up their oil storage facilities and refineries. Betcha they would change their tune in a hurry. While we are at it, threathen to destroy the oil pipelines coming out of Iran that would cripple their economy. Time to quit all this diplomatic hogwash and show the world we are not some wall flower to be kicked around.

There are still a lot of factions in Iraq.  Once the Israeli thing cools down they will go back to killing each other.  I heard a General on tv say that Iraq is a lot more violent than what's going on in Afghanistan, we just aren't being told about it.

There is afareasier way to deal with them then you all think. Just tell them that the second they shut the oil off or raise the prices then they can have fun eating it once the US stops sending them food and helping them maintain their desalination plants.

The only concern I have is that eventually whichever group finally gains absolute control over there will need to be violently suppressed in the not too distant future.
