A House Foreign Affairs hearing on "Benghazi and Beyond" quickly turned into a shouting and accusations forum.
It began when Republican Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA) said this: "What is clear is that this administration, including the president himself, has intentionally misinformed, read that LIED, to the American people in the aftermath of this tragedy. Now President Obama has the gall to float the name as possibly secretary of State, the name of the person who is the actual vehicle used to misinform the American people during this crisis."

Disgusting to say the least.

The fact is, he and his idiot sidekick Jay Carney said for weeks that it was the video. When anyone with any sense knew they were full of shit.

Obama's actually very careful most of the time to use enough hedge words and conditionalities in his directly-attributable comments so that he doesn't get caught in a clear, outright lie.  Everyone else but the near-invisible Valerie Jarret is an expendable surrogate for that.

Petraeus said this morning that the talking points (his appraisal) had been altered.  I'm guessing that means what Rice was pushing had been altered.  Rohrabacher is correct that the won lied.  It's already come out that he couldn't be bothered to take that "3:00 A.M." call.  Needed his beauty sleep for the trip to the Vegas fund raiser.
