Anyone remember the Ventures?
« on: November 15, 2012, 08:40:29 AM »

This is pretty cool...... Who knew The Ventures, a rock band from the 50’ s and 60’s? Their original 17-year old drummer left after 8 months and went into the Air Force.

Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

Now that's what I'd call working your way from the bottom to the top.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin

Since they're on the beach, I would guess a Solyndra solar panel.

That was nice. Walk don't Run was a staple of our garage band in the late 60's. Think I could still play it.
"Liberalism is an essentially feminine, submissive world view. Perhaps a better adjective than feminine is infantile. It is the world view of men who do not have the moral toughness, the spiritual strength to stand up and do single combat with life, who cannot adjust to the reality that the world is not a huge, pink-and-blue, padded nursery in which the lions lie down with the lambs and everyone lives happily ever after."

I love them. I remember my older brothers playing their records back in the 60's I have some LPs with their songs on them along with others and I have two or three of their CD's. Los Strait Jackets are the closest to the Ventures in sound I have heard.

Good memories.  :cheersmate:
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

There was a time many many moons ago where I played with two drummers. As a percussionist, I thought it was cool.
