my wife and I recently were on vacation in the Washington DC area.  We drove thru an area that was government funded housing projects.  Everyone of the houses had an obama/biden2012 sign in front of them and every house had a t.v. satellite dish attached to the house.I thought being poor meant you had to give up a few luxuries to pay for the basic necessities.

When I lived in a ghetto apartment complex there were a lot of people on welfare, they had government jobs with full benefits. They were driving escalades, had large TVs, and the most sad part about is that a few of them couldn't "afford" their rent.

Don't get me started!!! :rant: When I was living in low-income housing, people had suv's, top of the line gas grills, fancy deck sets.Yet here I was, working forty hour weeks, and I had what I needed, the essentials.....
