This is a major hurdle we have to face (beyond the Obama agenda these next 4 years). With the welfare rolls (in which I include the unemployed) mushrooming, hardcore institutional welfare recipients, and government job creation outstripping the private sector, we're fast becoming a welfare state - if we haven't already arrived. This election, which was to have been a referendum on our government's role in our lives, has clearly shown the magnitude of the problem. If we're to do anything we have to face this head on.  :mad:

I was talking to somebody last night who had been in discussion with several family members about starting a business.  After the results came in, he said there was no way he was going to try to start a business with Obama back in office.

that's the main cultural shift I have seen. These people no longer have any shame or justification for hands out. As I told my guy earlier it's the "I'm gonna do me" generation. that saying exemplifies more then anything the attitude. I do what I want, when I want, no matter who it hurts so long as I get mine. Pitiful. Our forefathers weep...
