I've never heard of them. Who are they?

It's apparently a forum for musicians; politics is one of their minor forums.

Seven pages of chit-chattery about conservativecave, as if they know what they're talking about.

Well worth going to the link JohnnyReb gave, but only if one isn't already doing something more important.

I gave momentary thought to joining that forum, to point out that we're actually moderate here, but then remembered something.

It's a forum for musicians.

And here's franksolich, deaf as a rock.

What could I possibly talk about, with musicians?

So.....

The term "musician" is used far too loosely in some circles.

Some folks think that all they have to do is scream into a microphone and that makes 'em a rock star. Or flail around on a set of drums. Or crank up the guitar amp to 10.

Having been around a lot of these kinds of people, most of these people don't have the tools to do much of anything except schlep equipment around. Most of us call 'em "roadies."

Well to be true there are some people that have made careers out of screaming into a mime. Not long careers but one none the less.  Most that come to mind are punk rock or most rap groups.

I play the NA flute. Wonder if I'd fit in over there?

Anyone who desires to play music but doesn't feel musically talented might give it a try. Takes a bit of practice but the rules are easy to learn.
