My grandparents on one side of the family had pretty salty language, but they wouldn't have been in Obama's camp.  They were anti-Communists.

I met a fair number of WW2 vets including some from the other side back in my younger days, they all have my deep respect, and they really saw some shit.  As far as everyone else who just happened to be alive at the same time, their opinions mean nothing more to me than anyone else's.  I have never bought into that 'Greatest generation' crap, and as far as I'm concerned, supporting Obama is evidence of either dementia or a selfish and foolish belief he's going to open his 'stash' for you (I.e., take money from someone else and give it to you).
